Charleston SC has to be one of the quaintest cities I have ever visited.  A sizable city with historic charm, Charleston played critical roles in both the Revolutionary and Civil wars, most notably Fort Sumter.  Walking the streets of Charlestons is like taking a step back in time with some of the best preserved streets and buildings I have seen.  Close by to the historic downtown is Patriots Point, home to the famous WWII aircraft carrier USS Yorktown.  For a little something differnt to do in the evening, visit the historic old city jail where you can take a haunted tour.  Our time in Charleston was limited but we were taken aback at the charm the city offered.
