Train Ride

without comments

My son loves trains, always has.  He was first mesmerized as toddler with Thomas the Tank Engine, so every chance we get we take him on train rides.  This Train is the famous Strasbourg Railroad in Lancaster, PA.

If you look to the right of the photo you will see the darling Red Caboose Motel. It’s a brightly colored train that has converted  the old train cars into holet rooms. The rooms are very accommodating and can sleep up to six people. The motel is located along the Strausburg Railway route in the heart of Pennsylvania Amish country. A stopover in Lancaster County is like taking a step back in time, and well worth the visit. The large white Amish barns are stunning against the rich green lanscape. A ride on the Strausburg Railroad is a must, as well as a visit to the Railroad Museum. These are just a scant list of the opportunities for a unique trip to Lancaster County.
