Never Forget

without comments

I took this photo back in 2011 while visiting Berlin.  I love the composition, but the lighting always seemed  a little off, so I never processed it and forgot about it. That’s the beauty of never deleting a photo and rediscovering it. It was as if I had just took the photo for the first time and I can still remember the gentleman waiting on the bench for his wife to come out of the store that was behind me. The moral of the story is never delete a photo, you may not like it today but you may tomorrow.

Summer Time Traditions

without comments

Nothing says summer in Philadelphia more than water ice. Water ice is similar to Italian ice, but not as thick, it’s a summertime tradition and, a great way to spend time with family. In my case, my son’s and I had just returned from a hot day at a local car show when I caught this older couple chatting across from us. They were a lovely couple, the mans expression seems to say “after all these years, I still know what she’s thinking”.

They Sure Are Friendly In York

without comments

I visited York, UK with no expectations and left loving the place. I had just visited York Minster when I walked by this fudge shop with a friendly attendant. She noticed that I had my camera out and she gave me a big smile and thumbs up to take her picture!

Trails of Light

without comments

Here is another one from London of Big Ben and Parliament.  This one a long exposure at 30 sec, this allowed a few cars to whiz by while I had the shutter open leaving trails of light.

Ghost In The Tunnel

without comments

I originally shot a version of this photo in color while visiting London in January.  I went back through my shots and I had originally disregarded this version of the same image until I did a little experimenting with it in Nik’s Silver Effect Pro 2.  I really like how this turned out with amount of contrast and the other worldly figure coming out of the Underground station near Westminster station. This area of London is a great place for night photography as you get many city lights, shadows and light reflection of the river Thames.  Next time your in London, Look for Big Ben and you find this station and a great spot to get some unique shots.
