Batman

He’s not quite Batman, but he loved dressing like him on Halloween.   I took this portrait of my son at a local trunk-or-treat event where he managed to not only save the world, but collect plenty of candy along the way.

A Boy and His Tiger

without comments

A boy and his tiger. How much longer will these days last? The days when a boy feels no shame in holding his beloved comforter in public. It doesn’t matter that Tigey is missing an eye. His fur is looking matted and rough from many cuddles. He is perfect in this boy’s eyes. The need for a beloved comforter will soon be gone and I will hold this moment in my memory. I wonder, will he remember the comfort and fun this stuffed tiger brought him?

I was privileged this weekend to take Christmas pictures for friends of ours.  I have to admit I was a little scared because I have never done portraits before and I was afraid I would mess it up.  So this little girls expression, I think, sums up my whole attempt.
