Valley Forge Sunrise

Valley Forge National Park is one of my favorite places to visit.  Nestled in the Philly suburbs, the park offers great hiking trails as well as historic buildings from when George Washington’s Continental Army stayed for a winter.  Free download of the week!

Fields of Gold

without comments

Harvest time has to be one of best times in the year.  Crisp cool air and crops turning to bright colors of gold. If you are in the Philly area this weekend, I’m auctioning off a print of this photo also at ATA Royersford to help raise money for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Blue Angels

without comments

You can never fully appreciate the US Navy’s elite aerobatic pilots, the Blue Angels, unless you see them in person.  Seeing them do loops, flying a few feet apart, and blazing 500 feet over your head doing 500 MPH!  Bring your ear plugs and be prepared to be impressed.  The last time I saw the Blue Angels was during Salibration 2012 in Baltimore, MD at Ft. McHenry.

Free Photo Of The Week: The Main Line

without comments

The Mainline, an area of the Philadelphia suburbs, is named for the rail line that once took influential people out to their summer homes.  The rail lines are still there and service is now provided by Amtrak and SEPTA.  Today, instead of steam, the railroads use electric to power their trains. This of course is great for photo composition and finding leading lines.

Walking Berlin At Sunset

without comments

Our final night in Berlin walking at sunset.  Berlin was an amazing city, and was totally more than I expected.  I went with no expectations and left in awe.  Berlin is my kind of town.
